Why Coat Crafters
Coating failures almost always trace back to skipped preparation. Our process is built around doing the invisible work right.
Grinding — never acid-only shortcuts — creates the profile coatings need to bond.
Repairs, expansion joints and perimeter edges are handled deliberately, not rushed.
Epoxy, polyaspartic or hybrid build-ups are matched to your slab and your traffic.
Protected surroundings, tidy staging and a floor swept clean before we leave.
We help you choose colours and textures you will still love in five years.
You always know what happens next, when we arrive and what your floor needs after.
The Epoxy Installation Process
We inspect your concrete, check moisture and hardness, discuss finishes and provide a clear written estimate.
Industrial grinders with vacuum extraction profile the slab and remove old coatings, sealers and surface contaminants.
Cracks, pits and spalled areas are repaired and ground flush so the finished floor reads as one continuous surface.
Base coat, decorative flake or metallic layer, and a protective clear topcoat — applied in controlled conditions.
We walk the floor with you, review the finish and leave written care and return-to-service instructions.
Finish Explorer
Select a finish to preview it in a typical two-car garage. Final colour samples are confirmed in person before any work begins.

Epoxy Flooring FAQ
Every Coat Crafters floor starts with mechanical surface preparation. We grind the concrete to open its pores, remove old coatings and contaminants, and vacuum the surface so the new coating system can bond properly.
Yes. Mechanical grinding is a standard part of our preparation process, not an optional extra. It creates the surface profile that epoxy and polyaspartic systems need for a strong, long-lasting bond.
Epoxy is a high-build resin coating valued for thickness and adhesion, while polyaspartic topcoats cure faster and offer strong UV stability and abrasion resistance. Many garage systems combine both — an epoxy base with a polyaspartic clear coat. We recommend the right combination for each floor.
Most cracks, pits and spalling can be repaired before coating using purpose-made concrete repair products. We assess the floor during your estimate and explain exactly what repair work is included.
Timing depends on the size of the space, the condition of the concrete, the chosen coating system and site conditions such as temperature and humidity. We confirm a realistic project schedule in writing before any work begins.
Return-to-service time depends on the coating system installed and weather conditions. After completion, we provide clear written guidance so you know exactly when the floor is ready for foot traffic and vehicles.
Decorative flake systems naturally add texture underfoot. For smoother finishes, anti-slip additives can be included in the topcoat — especially useful for garage entries and spaces that see wet footwear.
Coated floors are easy to maintain: sweep or dust-mop regularly and wash with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner as needed. Avoid harsh acids or abrasive pads. We include simple care instructions with every completed floor.
Yes. Epoxy and related coating systems are an excellent basement finish — seamless, moisture-resistant and easy to clean. We check moisture levels in the slab first and select a system suited to below-grade conditions.
Yes. We coat workshops, showrooms, retail and light-industrial floors across the GTA. Commercial projects are planned around your business schedule and specified for the traffic the floor will actually see.
